Recently, Google designed it’s new sign in page, next week billions of account holders should see a slightly modified login page which moves some text from flush left to the center.
Google wants to alert their users about the new look new sign-in page which is not wildly different from the existing one, but it’s the adequate change from the Google.
There is the slightest tweak on the Google’s logo, an outlined blue box around the input field for a phone number or email, and also the text over the input field has been centered.
Some of the users think that these small changes could be a reason for concern like they are looking a phishing page or many more. It has an advised for every G Suite admins to provide users with notice of the changes.
Google has also provided a before, and after image, so the users are easily aware of the new signing-in page which rolls out shortly.
According to Google, a new update will bring the sign in page in line including with the Material Design system which has applied to many of Google apps since 2014.
In Google Notes, “from June 14, 2018, notice that when you sign in with your G- Suite account, the lock of the screen will be slightly different from the existing”.
“Some of the Slightest changes will include the tweaks to the Google logo, center alignment of all items on the screen and an outline around the text field.”
One of the major and last changes on the sign-in page happened in the previous year, while Google intended to bring reliability to the page across phones, desktop, and tablets. Generally, it completely cleans up the page.
However, it is very difficult to see that how the new sign-in page is any more or less Material Design system than the existing one. It is the reason that Google’s mentions for the logo tweak and centered text.
